Chimay Triple / Blanche (White)

Bottle 33cl or on tap @ trappistenhuis. Grass, citrus, herbs, alcohol. Muscat hoppy aroma. Bitter aftertaste. Very lively.

Wonderful Abbey tripel. Very easy to drink. Good sweet, bread like feel. aybe a bit of citrus. AHHHHH

tasting at GDBTF on 10/18/08. golden color with a bit of white head. wheat on the nose, some citrus. medium body. nice spicy finish. solid trappist beer.

33 cl bottle, thanks ekstedt. Hazy dark amber with a fully lasting, creamy white head leaving excellent lacing. Moderately malty and yeasty, light on the hops. Bread, flowers, meat, broth, honey and alcohol. Lightly acidic and bitter with a short finish. Medium bodied, creamy with fizzy carbonation. Quite alcoholic.

Hazy orange colour with large white head.Aroma is spicey and sweet with some citrus flavor.Bitter mouth feels and note of yeast.Really nice brew.

Poured an off white head which laced well and lasted nicely. Body was light browinsh orange and had many small particles swirling inside. Attractive. Smelled of cinnamon, toffee, and brown sugar. The taste was a bit bitter for me, but also had a nice hop, citrus, and some yeast. Light dry palate, sits bitter at the back of the tounge.

12 oz bottle from Zenos. Cloudy, glowing light orange pour. Quite a bit of yeast in the aroma, also bitter oranges and spices. Too much bready yeast in the flavor, but really nices tones of mild citrus, far-eastern spices, and a pleasant hop finish. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Very good and satisfying brew, probably best enjoyed on a summer night.

Orange hue, cloudy with a huge light orange head that lasts forever. Takes patience to wait for it. Aroma is yeast, hop, dark fruits, and clove. Flavor is yeast and orange peel. It offers spices, pepper, hallertau hops. Such a good beer!
