Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

This is a very tasty beer. The head is full, remains, and adds a nice creamy texture. The flavor is wonderfully spicy and very complex. The malts are noticably present and the hops are balanced nicely. This is a nice triple.

Hazy orange with a thick and permanent head. Spicy and sour aroma with some yeast and malt. Flavor is quite bitter and yeasty with a nice fruity and spicy taste. Also somehow cheese-like sour which disturbs a bit. Very smooth mouthfeel and quite a good body. Not my favorite trappist but anyway enjoyable.

Bottle & tap on multiple occasions @ Café Gollem. Pale amber colour, white head. Aroma of hops and malts, some spices and yeast. Flavour is very malty, but nicely balanced by the hoppy bitterness and a slightly earthy/yeasty taste. Very smooth palate, soft and creamy mouthfeel. There aren’t many flavours in this beer, but the ones present are so well balanced that you have to love this brew. One of the best (if not the best) tripels.

Pours orange-golden, hazy. Decent head. A bit yeasty, although balanced with the malts. I prefer Chimay Rouge (red cap) and Chimay Blue to the white, but it’s a fine tasty beer.

A wonderful, classic beer. Pours a nice hazy gold with a fabulous, three-finger white head. Subtle aroma of yeast and the flavor is a smooth balance of malt, yeastiness, with just the right touch of hops in the finish with hints of banana and clove.

25 ounce bottle. Pours a murky golden-amber color with a massive, soapy white head. Taste is of hops, malt wheat, yeast and is fruity. It is really bitter, but it complements the beer. The aroma matches the taste. On par with the Chimay Rogue (Red). Like the Red, this is a pretty excellent beer as it is rather tasty, easy to drink, and for the quality it is priced fairly.

Hazy orange with a thick white head that ends up a bit bubbly with suds clinging to the side of the glass. Yeasty sour aroma with fruity overtones - I got pear. Bubbly mouthfeel but not too much, just made it unique. Toffee in the palate. Not as rich and creamy as I expected. Also I can pick out quite a bit of hops, not well integrated. Okay but not great, or living up to the hype.

Draft at Chappy’s. Hazy yellow with a fine head. Belgian yeast and fruit notes are the biggest feature of the aroma. Smooth sweetness and very drinkable. A little bit of a creamy texture and good carbonation. Very good triple.
