Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

Cloudy golden color; Medium dry body; Aroma of hops, citrus, and bread; Flavor mainly of hops & citrus, some yeast as well; Slight alcohol towards the finish; Not my favorite Chimay, but still quite good.

Hazy golden body with a dirty white head. Pretty thick head that leaves spot lacing. Aroma was a yeasty spice with pepper and orange peel. Taste was the same. Great carbonated creamy mouthfeel. A full bodied beer that left a nice candied citric bite at the end.

my personal favorite of the chimay line. one of my favorite beers of all time. with that said. it pours a murky, cloudy orange with an off white head. smells of various belgian yeasts, fresh citrus fruits and a hint of hops. taste is almost identical to the smell, yeasty, very citrusy fruity and a strong hop taste with a swallow of a slight bitterness. smooth and delicious!!

Pours a nice golden orange with a bright white head which dissipates slowly leaving a little bit of lacing on the glass. Aroma is of grains and citrusy hops. Taste is medium bodied grains, with a strong hop presence. There is a citrus aftertaste which is due to the hops.
