Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

nice laid back aroma, vanilla, fruits, when warming up a bit i got something roasted too. could be more powerful. hazy golden with large thick head. nice flavor. very well balanced. i get honey, sugar, little bitterness. RB rating too high imo, but it is well balanced.

Orange with big, foamy off-white head / Light, fragrant nose of banana, yeast, and spice / Medium body, crisp and lively, but with good malts underneath and excellent, bitter finish / Flavors of banana, orange, apple, clove, and coriander / Pretty much a textbook tripel.

And orange beer leaning towards amber with a powerful head. Aroma is full of tropical fruits and herbs. Rich in flavor where one picks up hints of pineapple, passion fruit and more herbs. Bitterness blends in well towards the end. Perhaps slightly too large late bitterness for me to give it a better score.

Pours a hazy orange with a nice white head. Aroma is dry, fruit, sour, yeast. Flavor is yeast, dry, fruit, pepper with floral notes. My least favorite of the chimay line, but still pretty decent.

Bottle. Pours a light orange amber body with a big fluffy head. The least favorite chimay in my opinion. Aroma is dry and earthy and has a good pepper yeasty backbone. Flavor is that. A solid beer thats an easy choice. I enjoyed it slightly less on draft.

33cl bottle. Served in a Chimay glass. Pours orange tinted golden with a 3 fingered head. Slight haze with lots and lots of fine bubbles. Aroma is light fruit, honey, spice (pepper), and floral. Taste is sweet and malty pils malt, light fruits (pear), some mild alcohol, & black pepper. Finish is slightly tart & bitter, but balanced. This is a pretty tasty beer and a nice example of the style.
