Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

An aroma which is fruity and a tad alcoholic leads into a flavor which is grainy and rather hoppy.

On tap in the United States. Poured a cloudy orange, with tan head. Slight yeasty aroma. Slightly biscuity, like shortbread with some sweetness. Subtle hop bitterness, and maybe some toffee or carmel in there. Complex flavor, went down smooth. Would go well with cheese and lots of other foods.

A golden ale with a very thin head. Nice aroma of esters and spice. Nice belgian yeasty flavor and lingering yeasty/bready finish.

En udemærket trippel. Humlen er for bitter og for lidt aromatisk for min smag.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, bright copper with a monstrous off-white head that dissipates slowly leaving beautiful lacing. Aromas of wheat, muscat, yeast, and a little hops. Very balanced flavor profile. Toasty malts balanced with sharp hops. Fantastic, creamy mouthfeel - the carbonation is perfect for the intensity and the ABV of this beer. I love it!

on draft in the proper glass at Theresa’s in Wayne, Pa. Beautiful fluffy white head with a burnt orange appearance with an unfiltered cloudy haze. Nose is of all things Belgian. Sweetness, spicyness, and malt. The yeast gives this such complexity for a Tripel that it is many things going at once on the palate and nose. The hops and yeast in this are a perfect match. The fluffy head lasted the entire way with sticky lacing too. My favorite Tripel for sure. Preferred on draft although by the bottle is damn good too.

11.2 ounce bottle- poured out a cloudy translucent gold with a giant and long lasting ivory head. Aroma was a little dusty, hops and citrus. Taste was just about perfect. Hoppy but mellow with a minor acidic bite, no bitterness at all. Champagne like carbonation and a light palate. Excellent, just excellent.

My favorite of the Chimay offerrings. Very good triple. I need to get another bottle of this because I don’t remember the exact flavors and aroma, just that it was a huge hit with my tasting friend and I. UPDATE tasted again on draft: Pours a hazy golden color. Great bannana aroma. Typical candy-like sweetness from the added fermentable sugars. Spice and mild citrus fruit on the tongue. Good bitterness and clean finish.
