Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

TAP: hazy yellow pour, fluffy white head. Some bread on the nose, lemon and spice on taste, pretty good tripel.

Golden in colour. Mild cloudiness, with a thin head. A great fresh hop and yeast combo. Dried figs and a touch of bitterness. A great trappist!

Copper pour, long lasting head. Aroma is citrus mostly orange, heavy hops with some spice (ginger and cinnamon I think). The mouthfeel is nice, quite full, strongly carbonated. Taste is alcohol, citrus and spice, more tasty hops here, big alcohol kick.

Copper, unfiltered. Nice head retention. Foam non-homogenious. Aroma: Citrusy fruits and some sweetness. Nice, but bites a bit. Nice balance. Sweet, citrusy. Fantastic symphony. Flat, mouth watering. Very nice, though alcohol a little much for me.

Bottle. Cloudy, copper color. One of the best Abbey Tripels you can buy. Excellent balance of light sweetness with 8% ABV kick.

330ml bottle. Light copper in colour with a pillowy and creamy foam head. Well carbonated and looks robust. Aromas of spiced fruit, cinnamon and citrus and a strong flavour tht hits all parts of the mouth.

Gold coloured, pours out with a big white head, thick, remains for a long period in the glass. Aromas of ornage peels, hops and freshness. Is tastes a bit bitter, not unpleasant, with hints of orange and slightly acidic. It’s not sweet despite the added sugar. It’s a nice tripel with a full taste, and a pleasantly bitter long finish.

Pours a nice hazy orange color with a medium to small white head that is tightly knit and kinda frothy. The aroma is a mix of floral hops, warm yeast, and light clove. The flavor is soft, mellow, and complex. Sweet at first, quickly fading into a spiced mix of what seems like white grapes and a light Belgian wit. It then fades to a soft bitterness that seems to come out of nowhere, accompanied by the faintest hint of alcohol warming. Mouthfeel goes from light and sweet to thick and soft, then slightly bitter and leaves a little sugar on the teeth. A lot of depth to this one, an awesome sipper.
