Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

very very heady, I didn’t have the correct glass to pour it into and it was foaming all over the place. Definitely foams more than the the Chimay Blue. Very good taste, has a decent spice taste but much less than the Chimay Blue. The alcohol content is not as prevalent as the Blue. Would buy again.

Poured as usual into the ol’ Chimay goblet. Golden in color, with a thin white head that leaves lots of lacing. Smell is a bit underwhelming, with spices and mustiness. Taste is medicinal with lots of spices and yeast. There’s also a bright estery fruitiness. Some booziness is apparent here. Carbonation is a bit high. Lightness in body contributes to the booziness taking over the palate with too much warmth.

It had a cloudy yellow body, slighty fruity, and slightly hoppy. Needless to say, it was very well balanced.

Pours a hazy brown-gold color with a substantial white, fluffy head. Aroma is of fruit and yeast. Flavors include some spices, yeast, alcohol, citrus, hops, and it is a little bitter. Quite good though. 11.2 oz. bottle.

Mmm! Chimay-may! This beer is pretty good, but for only 8% I thought that the alcohol taste was too prevalent. I think I prefer the other Chimay beers to this one.

Nice beer. bottle from Glenville beverage. Served 50 degrees in a tulip glass. Pours a dark, cloudy yellow. Huge, thick white head. Nice Brussels lacing. Smells of hops and yeast. Taste is definetly hoppy and a little yeast, maybe a little raisin. Nice beer. Ill get it again.

Ive had many a Chimay (and love them) before, but I just picked up a 3 pack to rate today, so i’ll start with the first. Pours a cloudy peach color with a creamy white head. Aroma is a bit faint, but I smell a little spice and bananas. Flavor is the same, good overall.

33 cl bottle, hazy golden pour with large head that quickly dissipates to a fine ring, hopyy upfront with good fruity flavor, finish tailed off a little too much and became more bitter than I would like.
