Commercial Description:
Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz and John White

I had this draft, so I assume that it may be younger than the bottled versions described by other raters. Clear, not cloudy as I expected. Great lace after the small white head dissipated. Taste of cloves, pepper, wheat, and alcohol, a little fruitiness (banana maybe), and then a lightly bitter finish.

And orange beer leaning towards amber with a powerful head. Aroma is full of tropical fruits and herbs. Rich in flavor where one picks up hints of pineapple, passion fruit and more herbs. Bitterness blends in well towards the end. Perhaps slightly too large late bitterness for me to give it a better score.

Golden coloured, mostrly lasting head (medium bubbles), leaves a long finishing flavour on the mouth. Its aroma and flavour combine perfectly and is its highest point. Sweet, but not too much. Alcoohol at the very right mesure.

Dry, hoppy, and even grapey, almost wine-like flavor, but very nice. Medium body. Very good.

8/12 0.33 l bottle at Hopdevil. Murky golden bodied with medium long living white head. Impressive strong orange and grapefruit aroma and malty with generally sourish unpasteurized feel. Flavor is more or less typical for Tripels, bitter with notes of sweet malts and very yeasty. Nice, you get as one would expect. Quite carbonated, didn’t understand that thing. Long pleasant bittersweet finish. Very nice tripel.

bottle. Golden with frothy white head. Aroma of mimosa flowers. Nice lacing, tastes of orange, spice, yeast, fruit. Noticable carbonation, good mouthfeel and length. Nice beer.

A cloudy golden colour brew. The nose gives away the intensity of the brew. Notes of fruit, raisins and plums. Some apple in the taste with raisins and some alcohol. A very well balanced beer.
