COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Chimay Tripel, with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer’s flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz (beer-pages.com/protz/features/chimay.htm) and John White (www.whitebeertravels.co.uk/chimay.html)

De color dorado y espuma blanca, de media retención que deja encaje. Aromas a hierba seca, algo de manzana y levadura. Cuerpo medio y bastante carbonatada. En boca especiada, con recuerdos a vino blanco y final bastante seco.

Very nice trappistbeer, and my favorite Chimay compared to the Red and Blue varieties. Fresh but complex taste with spicy hoptones.

Color oro, turbia, espuma abundante. Aroma a fruta. Se nota alta carbonatacion, sabor a fruta, toques a plátano, dulce. Muy recomendable.

High quality offering. For me, best as a summer complement to sweet BBQ. Served: Direct pour Chimay goblet: Temp: approx 50 deg. Appearance: Golden, slightly hazy, effervescent, some sediment. Aroma: Pleasant, aromatic fruitiness. Not a distinct fruit. Mouthfeel: Full bodied snd crisp. Effervescence almost soda-like. Aftertaste: Very clean with slightly sweet/ fruity finish. Overall: Very drinkable and best as complement to food with sweeter qualities. Worked well with BBQ chicken.

Yeasty aroma with spices and fruits. Taste of the same, but with malts as well. The taste starts bitter and fresh, then turns to more sweet, before a quiq bitter ending. Very nice!

Bomber into wine glass. Brassy, with fine, thick white head that lingers. Hops in the nose, with a touch of sweet raisins and wheat. A touch of bitterness in the mouth balances the continued gritty sweetness. Finishes crisp and with a touch of lingering hops. Delicious!

33cl bottle, served in trappist chalice. Poured a beautiful radiating amber with a two finger white head. Aromas of hops, sweet candy, caramel, fruits, lemon. Taste pretty much a continuation of the aromas: hoppy, fruity, slightly bitter in the mouth. Medium body, drinks smoothly away with a bittersweet finish. Overall a damn good tripel.

Cerveja com um leve amador no final e doce no início. Diferente e forte. Muito cremosa. Excelente cerveja.
