3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours hazy amber brown with a huge frothy head. Aroma is light, bananas, malty sweetness and fruity notes. Flavor of spices, yeast, hint of bananas, some noticable hop bitterness over the malty sweetness. Bitter finish. Palate is full bodied, high carbonation and rough but really enjoyable mouthfeel

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a slightly hazy, golden amber hue. Presents a bold off-white head, which has a creamy, rocky density that is in no rush to dissipate. Wafting out of the foam are wonderful toffee, caramel and cereal aromas from the malts. A bouquet of cloves, cinnamon, dried fruits, banana, orange peel and pumpkin emerge likely from the unique yeast. Hops provide moderate hints of Muscat, white pepper and citrus, but are most pronounced on the long-lasting finish. Flavours include: orange pith, dried apricot and clove. This elegant tripel has a rich, dry, creamy and slightly warming mouthfeel.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Poured from a bottle a clear yellow with a healthy white foam head. Has a sweet yeast aroma. Flavor is surprisingly on the sour side. There is a touch of honey and fruit, but the sourness dominates and makes it difficult to enjoy. Has a medium body feel, pretty smooth. This just does not have the qualities I have come to enjoy from trippels.

75cl bottle, at home @10°C
One of the best beers I tasted so far. Perfect palate and finish. A taste you wouldn’t expect when you see the light color. Must-taste beer!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A- Banana, tropical fruits, wheat, spices.
A- Golden color, cloudy liquid, white head.
T- Strong alcohol taste, banana, mild citrus, wheat.
P- Medium body, average texture, medium carbonation, strong finish.
O- Quite overrated. Definitely the lesser of the three Chimay’s. Strong alcohol tones that don’t fade until towards the end. Decent fruit tones, but still not worth the price tag.
