This beer you can love just by looking at it. Flowery, tangy aromas. Rasins and dates were most prominent for me. Medium body that’s a tad more cloying than the Chimay Rouge. Blonde trouble, belle mousse assez persistante, pétillance moyenne. Agréablement houblonnée, moyennement amère, retour légèrement fruité, petite astringence en fin de bouche, belle longueur.

Pours a dark hazy golden color with a nice head that fades to ample lacing. Aroma of citrus, fruit and spice. Taste of citrus, bit of fruit, spice and trace of sweetness in the background. Has a bitterness that lingers for bait. Medium body, crisp and flavorful. Nice beer for the style.

On tap at A La Morte Subite, Brussels. Cloudy amber with a small head. Weak citrus taste with a dry finish. Grapefruit. Not all that drinkable. Prefer the bleue.

Bottle 33 cl. Produces a thick, foamy off-white head. The colour is somewhere in between amber and blonde. Aroma is complex, dried fruit. Taste is somewhat similar, but more spicy and sweet. Soft carbonation. It then ends bitter without disturbing the balance. Very good, as expected from a trappist.

Draft - Lemon and citrus with some yeast sweetness. Cloudy yellow with a thin head. Nice, crisp, citrus and yeasty sweetness. A quick hit of bitterness then clean finish. Great summer beer.

BOUGHT THIS STRICTLY CUZ OF THE KILLER RATINGS, have hated every chimay ive ever had so far, bottle into lint glass, hazy orange pour, thick white head, fruit aroma, taste is biter alcool , i can actually tolerate this one, but wont seek out

Medium to heavy body filled with malty sweetness. The smell is too light but has hints of citrus and yeast. Foamy head that stands for a bit and leaves marks on the glass.
