4.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Had on tap in a flight. It came with a nice thick head and looks completely transparent orange. Almost no nose but the taste is amazing. The perfect balance between hops and malts and tastes like a great tripple

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
11.2 oz. bottle, consumed on 10-21-14. I’m surprised I haven’t rated this one yet. I had assumed I had consumed it earlier, but now I’m not so sure. Strong, yeasty aroma with scents of orange, lemon, honey, challah, and apple cider. Pours an initially clear, dark gold. Highly effervescent. Large amount of creamy, off-white head. Produces good lacing. About as good-looking as a golden-colored beer can get. The latter pour is cloudy tan and with much suspended particulate and thick head. The latter pour also looks quite appetizing and appealing in a different way. Bready, vegetal, dry, sophisticated, very nice taste. Flavors of tobacco, candy sugar, caramel, orange, and a touch of booze. Dry finish. Medium body. Fluffy and frothy in the palate. Good Belgian ale palate effects. This is the type of beer that is brewed only in Belgium and makes all but the best American takes on Belgian-style beers look like pale imitations. It has been too long since I have had a Trappiste ale outside of my Orval and Rochefort staples. This beer reminds me that, with all the innovative beers young American breweries are pumping out, Belgian monks still make some of the best beers on the planet. Chimay White is a lovely and complex classic with no weaknesses. It’s nice when a beer has those flavors that you can’t actually describe but that you can ascribe only to a great brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
750 ml bottle into signature chalice, bottled on 6/24/2012. Pours fairly cloudy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with incredible retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the dense head. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, apricot, light banana, pepper, clove, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, apricot, light banana, pepper, clove, candi sugar, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Large amount of earthy/peppery yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, apricot, pepper, clove, candi sugar, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Outstanding complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a great crisp malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. High carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly dry finish that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an incredible tripel! All around outstanding complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; and extremely smooth and crisp to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
more interesting and complex than the double, but not neccesarily better. the spiciness in many triples is a bit too much for me, and this one is no exception, but it is a solid, complex brew. the hops are nice as well."

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Od ładnej prezencji po trochę zbyt mocny gorzki posmak. Spodziewałem się czegoś lepszego a jednak średnio.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
33cl bottle served in a Leffe glass. Pours a dark straw colour with a nice foamy white head which lasts well and clings to the side of the glass slowly turning into localised areas of froth with a thin skimming of bubble. Aroma is very powerful with sweet fruits and estery Belgian yeast. Taste is more of the same with a generously dry finish which makes you want more. One of the most flavoursome tripels I have tried and also one of the most balanced which is no mean feat. Worthy of the Trappist logo.
