3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 9, 2011 Bottle. The pour was a cloudy amber-brown with a large (2-3 fingers) off white foamy head that had great retention and produced some really good lacing that lasted throughout.
The aroma had a gentle scent of bread malts, a very mild resin hops and a nice dose of a leathery yeast with a hints of raisins, caramel, banana and a touch of vanilla.
It had a bitter-sweet taste with a hint of dried fruit and vanilla at first and finished with a slight emphasis on the hops yet remaining quite malty with notes of banana and some spice at the end. The flavor was left to linger for an average amount of time leaving a nice warming sensation behind.
Mouthfeel was medium to full in body with a very creamy yet dry texture with a mild carbonation.
Overall an absolutely tasty Trappist Ale that lets the fruit and malts blend together ever so perfectly. It is as I would call it, “a very nice relaxing sipper".

Cosa vuoi che ti dica la birra è più che buona ma sono ore che ordino le birrette fruttate il momento del giudizio non è sobrio.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20

33cl bottle. A classic. Hints of apple and cinnamon. Alcohol strength doesn’t take away from the subtlety of the beer and the flavour. Nice bitter finish but surprisingly refreshing and sweet,
