1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Boystout (1000) - Chisinau, - MAR 25, 2009
Bottle. 4.0%/10%. A beer designed "for consumers who prefer softer and less bitter beers". Visually it is describable: nice straw colour, medium head (quite all right). But the palate is just water, no shades.
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 bunget (138) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 8, 2012
500ml bottle. Pale yellow and medium unstable white head. Some lacing. Grainy aroma, and more sweet than in regular Draft. Fruity yogurt sweetness, not what you’d expect in a lager. Taste is sweet and flat, hints of malt and very little hops. Boring and the worst from Vitanta.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Snegurochka (157) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 23, 2011
0,5 bottle brought from Chisinau, sampled at the Back to the USSR session (Session X) in Tårnrommet Aug. 1. 2010. Clear golden body, soapy head and beautiful lacing. Sweet fruity aroma of apricot, banana and overripe pear. The taste is disappointing, though. It reminds me of old cheap bread, dust and paper. But the retro design bottle is stylish!
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Rune (4924) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 29, 2010
Thanks to Stefan and Elisabeth for bringing a few different beers from Moldova for mutual tasting. This one comes in a rather cool carpet-like bottle with a flip-over cork (see photo). Soapy, white lacing-head. Clear, straw coloured body. Fresh, mild aroma of fruits and pale malts. Bread-like malts in flavour mixed with fruity hints, more cardboard- like after a few sips. Flat and dry in the mouth and rather thin bodied (CCCP beer drinking session, Tromsø 17.08.2010).
