Smell and taste of malt, lemon, pepper, and pears. Beer is fairly light in texture. Pours with a really large foamy head. Color is a cloudy gold. I enjoyed the beer.

Odd beer, there used to be a place called golden prairie in Chicago which brewed for Sheffield’s bar where I consumed this. Its a nice.malt forward fruity and spicy ale with a balance of hops.

22 oz bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a huge fluffy white head. The aroma was herbal, floral, spicy, good funk, some fruity notes, wood with a Brett like character. This was just a touch better than the other saison at the same tasting.

Really nice and funky saison. Lots of brett character comes through with very light lemony musty funky tartness. Creamy soft mouthfeel. This one is pretty great.

750 ml bottle. Served in a tulip, the beer pours a hazy straw gold color with a couple inch frothy off-white head that stayed around for a long time. There’s also a good amount of lacing. The brew smells like grainy/bready malt, lemon peel, hay, apples and grassy hops. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some peppery spice, pears and earthiness. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s well carbonated, creamy and easy to drink. I liked this brew a lot, I wouldn’t mind picking up another bottle the next time I come across it. $13.99 a bottle.

Corked bottle and served in a Duvel snifter: Pours a slightly hazed golden hue with a lovely frothy head and nice lace. Once the cage was loosened the cork went flying with a loud pop that caused all the birds in the trees to take flight! It landed in the parking lot 30 feet away... so I expected a gusher but thankfully none came! Presented with a sprite carbonated beer that oh so reminds me of old days with Jolly Pumpkin Luciernaga (The Firefly) before it became too wild yeastie for its own good, slightly funk’d but still plenty of juicy hop notes and a firm pale malt background. Moderately peppery as well which added a layer of complexity.

Far exceeded my expectations, yummy!

750 ml. Cloudy golden body with a lasting, pillowy white head. Aroma of brett, lacquer, barnyard, toasted grain, leather, white grapes. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Very dry finish. Medium body, watery turning velvety texture, lively carbonation. Funky tasting with notes of leather and barnyard. Light to moderate acidity introduces a tartness in the end. Some earthy grain flavors. Very good.
