12 oz twist off. Pours a hazed amber gold with a nice foam head. The smell is nice, hint of banana, hoppy, orange rind, grain. The flavor bringe more toasted grain, slight nuttiness, anise, basil, still plenty of bitterness, heavy bittersweet finish. Really a belgian IPA. It is not as clean as a belgian ale form belgium but it sure is just as complex.

12oz bottle. Hazy unfiltered orange-gold body. Massive, excessive foamy white head. Dry and bitter, almost has a Brett thing going on. Pleasant mouthfeel, but above and beyond dry and bitter on the palate. Relatively unique, an interesting interpretation of the style.

Yellow beer with a frothy white head. Lots of carbonation on the tongue. Nose of yeast, spice and green hops. This has the spiciness and bitter orange peel that you would expect from a Belgian ale but with a healthy dose of hop resin and a grapefruit rind finish. I’m not a big fan of the hoppy Belgian ales, and this is surely one of those. If you like these, here you go....

On tap at Tapwerks. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has light fruit and sweet grains with underlying notes of grass and floral soap. Flavor has Belgian yeast, flora and grass up front with a bit of soap in the finish

A: Hazy golden-amber body with an exceptionally attractive and creamy, durable head. S:Smells sweet and fruity with light pepper. Spicy hops and Belgian yeast dominate. T: Earthy and fruity with plenty of hops, as expected given that this is an APA with Belgian yeast. The Belgian side come out properly with some spicy attributes form the yeast. M: Medium body; lacks smoothness. Rather high carbonation is too high and contributes to a mild tongue bite; nicely dry. O: An Americanized BPA with citrus hops; works fairly well.

From bottle. Pours a hazy light gold with a finger or so of white, mostly dissipating head. Mild lacing. Subdued nose--lemon zest and some yeast. Bitter taste with more tart citrus and maybe a hint of coconut. Dry finish. Tastes more likef a summer ale than a Belgian.

12oz bottle served in a Southern Tier tulip A - Hazy golden color with a 2 finger head. Average retention and zero lacing. S - Lemon and grapefruit, herbal leafy hops, earthy pine, floral, spicy Belgian yeast, doughiness comes out as it warms. T - Starts off with a grapefruit pithy citrus bitterness leading into spicy Belgian yeast, green herbs an pine resin coat the tongue. The malt is hidden underneath the aggressive hops. Finishes slightly astringent with coarse grapefruit and pine bitterness. There’s almost a cocoa aftertaste. M - Medium body, moderate smooth carbonation, bone dry finish I didn’t get the Belgian character that I was hoping for. The hops seems to choke out the rest of the flavors. My prostate says thanks for all those hops! Serving type: bottle
