Hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish slightly off-white head. Aroma of grass, fresh malt and a good dose of hops. Medium-bodied; Sharp fresh grassy hops taste strong along with some malt and a bit of perfumey scents. Aftertaste shows a bit more complexity with coriander seed and a bit of spice, but mostly malt. Overall, a good strong flavoured beer that shows well, especially in the summer! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Sam’s Warehouse Liquor in Oklahoma City, OK on 13-February-2008, drunk after my first round of golf ever on 07-August-2008.

Having had a few Krebs’ beers (including Texas Sux), this one surprised me. Not great, but nice. It had a hazy amber body with a quickly fading, slender head. The aroma was yeasty, had some toffee, a quiet spiciness, citrus fruit, and dried grasses. The is a bit sweeter than the nose promised, seems like a dollop of honey was added, and there’s a light sourness near the finish. Decent.

sample at DLD - the bottle says Kreb’s Biere de Garde. It pours hazy light amber with a yeasty, malty aroma. The flavor is of caramel malt and has some good fruit accents. Yeasty and sweet, it’s medium bodied and easy drinking. While not outstanding, it’s enjoyable. Thanks to whoever brought this rare brew.

Bottle from soonah. Thanks! Pours a very orange and cloudy with a thin and quickly dissipating head. Aroma is yeast and citrus with maybe a little bit of grass thrown in. None of the maltiness this pretends to have in the aroma. But it looks malty! We’ll see shortly! Taste is caramel, cereal and honey. Sweet with a sour balance. Light and lively. Something seems to be a bit off in the body but overall a very nice beer.

Bomber. Pours clear dark amber with an off-white head. Light body and carbonation. Clean, light toffee and hay taste. Crisp, refreshing and lightly lemony finish. A tip of the hat to Krebs, OK!

Bottle from Soonah! Nose of yeast, very light funkiness, and a little corriander; lightly hazed amber with a big beige head; flavor is light caramel, some spicy pepperiness, light tart notes, and some very miniscule alcohol warth in the finish. Pretty good BDG!

Appearance: Pours a hazy, orangey body with a small white head. Smell: Aroma of caramel malts, a handful of grains, a handful of field flowers, with a bright golden delicious apple fruitiness and a pinch of yeasty spice. Taste: Light caramel maltiness with a bit of graininess. More of the fruity apple character from the nose. Light floral hoppiness with just a touch of bitterness. Peppery, tartish finish and then it’s over. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Not bad! It’s a treat to finally try something from the great state of Oklahoma.
