Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours with a foamy, off-white head and a hazy golden orange body. Aroma of corn, buttered toast, honey, grain, light berries and a banana dessert covered with a bitter butterscotch. A touch of rotten apple as well. Taste is caramel, buttered toast and fruit compote. Lightly fizzy mouthfeel.

This one was surprisingly tasty. Nice fruity aroma with hints of malt and yeast. Flavor is fruity and sweet, with notes of caramel and honey, as well as malt and yeast. Light and crisp finish.

Pours hazy amber with on finger of creamy head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, caramel, cereal, lemon and dust. Taste follows aroma a little too sweet.

Aroma: The nose is fairly sweet, some caramel, and floral and funky notes
Appearance: This one pours a hazy copperish color with a fizzy beige head
Flavor: Fairly sweet, caramel, apple, some spice, earth, lightly floral, very light funk
Palate: The body is medium with a fizzy/tingly mouthfeel and a decent drinkability
Overall Impression: This one is a lot of firsts, my first beer of June, my first Oklahoma rating, and (obviously) my first beer from Petes Place / Krebs Brewing Co. That is a nice collection of fairly meaningless firsts. I guess it makes sense for a first beer from Oklahoma to be a farmhouse style brew. (I kid! I kid!) Anyway, as for the beer, it was alright, fairly sweet, but ultimately pretty drinkable.

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2010 Michael, the brewmaster, recommended this one to me in person, bumping into me by chance at the store. Another tasting, this time on tap. Exact same score from bottle many, many months ago (although only recently entered). Pours a murky orange, medium head and lacing, sweet aftertaste.

Amber in color with a small off-white head. Aroma is of honey, apples, and grain. Taste is of sweet malts, fruit, toast, and toffee.

Unknown abv, it certainly is above 6% and could be in the high 7% plus. Large off-white foamy head on medium yellow body. Some lace. Malty, and lightly spicey aroma, pleasant. Very easy mouthfeel and drinkable. I have had better of the style, yet still a better than average beer.

Having had a few Krebs’ beers (including Texas Sux), this one surprised me. Not great, but nice. It had a hazy amber body with a quickly fading, slender head. The aroma was yeasty, had some toffee, a quiet spiciness, citrus fruit, and dried grasses. The is a bit sweeter than the nose promised, seems like a dollop of honey was added, and there’s a light sourness near the finish. Decent.

Bottle courtesy of soonah. Pours copper with a white head. Smells citrussy with lots of perfumy wildflower hints and metallic. Tastes earthy with a light fruity character. Mothfeel is peppery with a finish that yields an element of spiciness.

22. Clear dark ruddy amber with a surging, fizzy whitish head. Light sugary nose. Medium fizzy body. Light grass and sugary mid-palate. Hay and lemon finish.
