The German city of Leipzig is home to one of the world’s most unusual styles: Gose (pronounced "goes-ah"), a tart wheat brew. Despite a centuries old lineage, this eclectic brew recently faced extinction. We pay tribute to this style’s rich history by using premium German pilsner malt, wheat, a dash of coriander and salt. The sourness and dry finish are the perfect treat on a hot summer day. Cheers, Michael Lalli

Sampled at Great American Beer Festival 9/24/15. Aroma of light bread, coriander, light mineral salt, and mild sour notes. Similar flavor, smooth, light, tart and refreshing with a dry finish. Nice.

Bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear light yellow, with a small white head that rapidly fades. No lacing. Nose is spicy, salty wheat, and the taste follows. Refreshingly tart, and a bit saltier than expected. Nice summer session beer.

Tap at the patriarch, Oklahoma City. Hazy golden orange pour, nice frothy head. Aroma is wheat, slightly tart, slight coriander and spice. Taste is tart, but not overpowering. Good salinity, spices, coriander and a hint of floral spice. Light, highly carbonated, refreshing. Great beer!

Bottle: The aroma consists of minerals, faint citrus/lemon, and just a hint of band-aid. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a small white head that quickly fades to nothing. The flavor starts with apple and faint wheat. The finish has light-moderate minerals, light lemon, and a hint of plastic. It’s light bodied with minimal carbonation and flat mouthfeel.

Bottle shared at Syb Pig Club bottle share. Small snifter. Pours an orange hue with a decent fluffy white head. Some small lacing. A good amount of aroma is orange and lemon, bready cereal and salt. Also a hint of coriander. The taste is similar with the dry saltiness paring with the coriander and orange peel breadiness. Thin to drink, refreshing. Moderate carb. Dry finish. Slightly tart, but sweet. Very good.

Draft - Vintage 2012 - Citrus, mandarin oranges and salt. Cloudy orange/yellow with a bubbly white head. Salty all the way through, mellow tartness and a mandarin orange, vs the lemon that is normal. Although odd in the sweetness, it is quite nice and different. I like it.
