COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The German city of Leipzig is home to one of the world’s most unusual styles: Gose (pronounced "goes-ah"), a tart wheat brew. Despite a centuries old lineage, this eclectic brew recently faced extinction. We pay tribute to this style’s rich history by using premium German pilsner malt, wheat, a dash of coriander and salt. The sourness and dry finish are the perfect treat on a hot summer day. Cheers, Michael Lalli

On tap at Tapwerks. Pours a hazy pale orange with a white head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has a nice tart lemon note with a bit of wheat and light fruit. Flavor has the same nice tart lemon note with a bit of sweet grain and wheat. Quite refreshing.

750 ml bottle shared by dudeabide- thanks again, Nate! New label. A lot better looking than the old Signature series labels. Pours a hazy, pale gold with a small white head that settles into a ring. Aroma of salt, pale malts, husky grains, straw, and lemon. The flavor hits the same basic notes, but with more lemon. Wheat in both, too, maybe some sourdough and coriander. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a tart, dry mouthfeel. Refreshing and nice.

750mL bottle. Poured clear medium golden with a short-lived, looser-bubbled white head. The aroma picked up a whole lot of sourness, with wheat, oak, lime, and salt present..about what I expected. The flavor was sour throughout, with salty limes and wheat leading.. coriander surrounded.. very dry and tangy on the finish.. this struck me as a bit too metallic, which detracted from my enjoyment. Light-medium bodied with moderate-plus sourness on the palate.. slick feel with lower carbonation.. OK feel.

Draft - Vintage 2012 - Citrus, mandarin oranges and salt. Cloudy orange/yellow with a bubbly white head. Salty all the way through, mellow tartness and a mandarin orange, vs the lemon that is normal. Although odd in the sweetness, it is quite nice and different. I like it.

11/4/11. 750mL bottle courtesy ericandersnavy! Super hazy/cloudy yellowish/orange pour with a frothy white head that fades fast. Funky aroma of chinese food, salt, sourness, and chalk - it reminds me of a salty berliner weiss. Tart, dry lemon peel flavor that lingers salty like a small mouthful of sea water. It’s like a salty berliner weiss. Interesting, but good.

Very excited to see this sitting on the table, so when i picked it up to read the back label- i was told by the owner to pop it and take the first pour, so i did! .. . pours a lightly bubbled light gold .. . good propa foam, lacing is a beast .. . light light dough, hay, and an old pretzel .. . a touch muddled and middle of the road for a gose, some might call it balanced but i like my gose’s doughier or tarter .. . . Somebody stole my pants.

Sampled at GABF 2012 with Moreau and Andrew. Pours a light body with thin white lacing. Aroma is light tartness and faint fruit, pretty plain. Mouthfeel is slightly tart with notes of sour fruit, spice and a touch of salt. Ok Gose.
