COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The German city of Leipzig is home to one of the worldís most unusual styles: Gose (pronounced "goes-ah"), a tart wheat brew. Despite a centuries old lineage, this eclectic brew recently faced extinction. We pay tribute to this styleís rich history by using premium German pilsner malt, wheat, a dash of coriander and salt. The sourness and dry finish are the perfect treat on a hot summer day. Cheers, Michael Lalli

Bottle with thanks to soonerchamps! Pours cloudy golden amber with a medium white head, dissipates quickly leaving good lacing. Aroma is lemon, coriander, sea air. Flavor is light sweet and light tart, floral, citrus, coriander, salty finish. Medium body, high carbonation; champagne-like. Nice.

Bottle: The aroma consists of minerals, faint citrus/lemon, and just a hint of band-aid. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a small white head that quickly fades to nothing. The flavor starts with apple and faint wheat. The finish has light-moderate minerals, light lemon, and a hint of plastic. Itís light bodied with minimal carbonation and flat mouthfeel.

15cl sample from bottle @SBWF12. Poured hazy, unclear apple juice looking with a thin, creamy white head. Aroma is tart, sour yogurt and light spicy. Flavor has yogurt, fresh orange juice, more tartness towards finish. Very dry, salty. Interesting, crisp and quite refreshing.

(750ml bottle) cloudy gold, fine white bubbles. Nose of celery, light salt, touch of funky apple. Taste is lightly tart, lemon, but of funk, tart apple, well carbonated and a tiny bit of salt in the finish.

Location: 750 ml bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 11/16/11

Aroma: The nose is a little tart, some citrus, a hint of funk, and just a little bit of spice
Appearance: Pours a slightly cloudy golden-orange color with a clean looking, foamy white head
Flavor: Tastes quite a bit more sour then the nose would indicate, citrus/lemon, lightly sweet, and salty too
Palate: This one is medium bodied, its a touch watery, and it finishes with a salty tingle on the tongue
Overall Impression: This was an interesting beer. Itís like a much better version of Miller Chill! (I kid, I kid) Sorry, that was mean, it doesnít really taste anything like Miller Chill, but it is a combination effort of a sour citrus fruit (lemons in this case) and salt, so it has that part in common. Iíll stop with the poor attempt to be funny and just say this: I liked this one, it is rather sour, and a touch salty, but the combination seems to work. It is a touch watery on the mouth, but otherwise has a pretty decent feel. The head has a nice, thick foam on top of it, that looks a little cleaner then the heads of most beers. Iíd drink it again, but it isnít something Iíd want to drink in this kind of quantity again anytime soon. A 750 ml bottle of this one is probably better for sharing.
