COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The German city of Leipzig is home to one of the world’s most unusual styles: Gose (pronounced "goes-ah"), a tart wheat brew. Despite a centuries old lineage, this eclectic brew recently faced extinction. We pay tribute to this style’s rich history by using premium German pilsner malt, wheat, a dash of coriander and salt. The sourness and dry finish are the perfect treat on a hot summer day. Cheers, Michael Lalli

A - Pours a cloudy burnt-orange with 1 finger of white head that settles into a milky cap. S - Dry and soapy, earthy tartness, spicy wheat, reminds me of a Christmas/Autumn spice candle T - Tart and dry up front. The lactic acid wakes up the whole palate instantly. Dried spice, earthy wood, tangy wheat, dried granny smith apple skins, muted peach and apricot, saline on the back and sides of the tongue. Tart turns to sour toward the middle and finishes sour and very dry. M - Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry. A good balance of spice, tart, sour, and saltiness. The earthy wheat backs everything up. Very interesting. Will definitely be picking more bottles of this Serving type: bottle 09-14-2011

Draft - Vintage 2012 - Citrus, mandarin oranges and salt. Cloudy orange/yellow with a bubbly white head. Salty all the way through, mellow tartness and a mandarin orange, vs the lemon that is normal. Although odd in the sweetness, it is quite nice and different. I like it.

Pours golden brown with no head. Salty lemon pool water. Not much carbonation. Some tartness. Hints of apples lemon and salty water. Hot day lawnmower beer for sure.

Thanks stevencon! Murky peach pour with no head. Aroma of salty orange juice, but like shitty Winn Dixie orange juice in the best way mixed with pool water. Thicker in body and similar in flavor but more sweet and less tart. Not bad.

Bomber : Poor is murky medium gold, with a one finger, fine bubbled spirtzy white head into this glass. It retains poorly here. I think this one has faded a touch at this point - Whatever. The nose is metallic, coriander, with doughey malts and a touch of lemongrass. The flavor profile is quite nice, though (still) - tart lemon and spent grain, with a nice spice note and a salty, dry finish.

Golden pour with minimal head that fades quickly. Sour aroma with strong honey overtones. Flavor of sour lemon, honey, salty coriander.

(750ml bottle) cloudy gold, fine white bubbles. Nose of celery, light salt, touch of funky apple. Taste is lightly tart, lemon, but of funk, tart apple, well carbonated and a tiny bit of salt in the finish.

750ml c&c bottle shared by jcwatts. Sorry for hiding your turkey meatballs on you John. Pours a hazy gold color with almost no head. Aroma of funk, lemon citrus, and hints of herbal tea. Taste of sour acidic lemons, salt, and sour white grapes.

750ml C&C bottle shared by jcwattsrugger, thanks John. Poured a clear apple cider brown thin to medium flat body and a very small white foamy head. Aroma is a bit odd, notes of vanilla candy, candles, rotting apple, bad fruit. Medium bodied with average carbonation to slightly stronger carbonation that has a lingering sourness on the aftertaste. Taste is more to style with a nice tartness that is not overpowering, like a watered down lemon, along with soft saltiness, some hint of green apple skins and a touch of funkiness and wet wheat. Nice beer but the aroma needs work.
