COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The German city of Leipzig is home to one of the world’s most unusual styles: Gose (pronounced "goes-ah"), a tart wheat brew. Despite a centuries old lineage, this eclectic brew recently faced extinction. We pay tribute to this style’s rich history by using premium German pilsner malt, wheat, a dash of coriander and salt. The sourness and dry finish are the perfect treat on a hot summer day. Cheers, Michael Lalli

[Bottle] Pours a hazy golden color with a dense cap of foamy head on top. Nose is of Belgian yeast, soured grains, citrus and lighter notes of wheat malts. Sour taste is yeasty and grainy. Wheat, brine, lemon/lime, coriander and cereal malts round out the taste. Mildly refreshing and a bit more sour compared to the German version. Lively carbonation levels. Another great addition to the series from Choc.

Poured and shared with a group of friends at an amazing lil brewery up here in Maine ! Poured a slightly hazy golden hue with a small head... aromas of wheat, beeswax and a hint of cheese... never know what the flavor is all about by the smell... flavors were great; tart, crisp, snappy, citrus, seawater and grass ! Wish I could get more...

pours a hazy, ruddy yellow/amber with a thick white head. Aroma is pretty much like a lightly soured pilsner...crisp hoppiness...citrus...with mild soapy notes, grassy with light maltiness. Flavor is much more sour than the aroma suggests...acidic and lemony with some musty funk...wheaty. Mouthfeel is light and silky with a tart dry finish. Interesting and tasty!

Thanks to drabmuh for bringing this bottle to compare with the Cascade Winter Gose. Served in a SAVOR wine glass. The pour yields a medium golden brew with a nice fizzy white head and a bit of lacing on the way down. The nose carries a good dosing of coriander and citrus with a bit of salt in the background. The flavor adds quite a bit of salt, though doesn’t take it over the top. Nice coriander and spice plus some orange peel. Light, crisp body with a faint acidity. Nicely done.

Very excited to see this sitting on the table, so when i picked it up to read the back label- i was told by the owner to pop it and take the first pour, so i did! .. . pours a lightly bubbled light gold .. . good propa foam, lacing is a beast .. . light light dough, hay, and an old pretzel .. . a touch muddled and middle of the road for a gose, some might call it balanced but i like my gose’s doughier or tarter .. . . Somebody stole my pants.

Pure sourness and salt. Very little fruit flavor but that isn’t a bad thing. Lightly spiced and awesome.

750 ml. bottle. Shared with multiple others at brew club, thanks to Chuck. Pours a minimal white head, over a cloudy, yellow (SRM 4) body....nose is citrus (lime), salt....taste is moderately sour, with lime tones, sweat, salt, coriander....mouth feel medium, carbonation low. This is my first tasting of this very different style. It almost has some of the qualities of a margarita with the salt, citrus combination, but there are other more complex tones that are hard to describe. I’ll try it again if I can find it.
