Surprisingly not bad. Nice hoppy aroma. A darker golden amber color than expected with average head. Nice balanced taste with some malt sweetness followed by a hops bitterness. This thing actually had some character. Very easy to drink with food.

Golden color with a faint haze and a fluffy white head. Bright sharp citrus and tropical fruit hop nose. Fresh orange zest, tangerine, red grapefruit, and some pineapple notes with some caramel sweetness. The finish is all hops. This is a nice, easy drinking hoppy beer.

A: Hazy golden-amber body with an exceptionally attractive and creamy, durable head. S:Smells like a pilsner with a slightly high malt/hops ratio. T - Starts mildly bitter but bitterness starts building in the finish. Mixed hops (Euro hops?) throughout but no strong hop note other than an unfortunate long-lasting, earthy bitterness in the aftertaste. M: Medium-light body, medium-high carbonation. O: Decent, but leans to the less fruity and more earthy ends of the APA spectrum.

Tasted on 4/15/13 from a 12oz twist-cap bottle purchased at Grand Cru. Pours hazy orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is a nice blend of caramelized orange peel, honey, a touch of caramel, citrus, and resin hops. The flavor is the same, with the caramelized orange peel the main focus and all of the bitter hops notes balancing the sweet notes. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long resin hops and caramelized orange peel finish. This is a solid pale ale.

12oz bottle pours a clear orange with some creamy, white head. Nose has plenty of Belgian character, some tropical fruit, candy sugar, flavored rum, papaya. Flavor is sweet, candy, orange peel, tropical fruit, papaya, mango, a little danish. Medium bodied, sweet finish.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a pale, hazy wheat color, with a big, fluffy, white head. Thick, clumpy lacing all over the glass. The aroma is biscuit dough, pine, hard cheese, and dirt. Very bitter flavor, with a little bit of malt sweetness. Medium body, sticky, slightly rocky and a little carbonation, Overall, this is a good, hop-forward pale ale.

Robust aroma is quite hoppy with a citrus undertone that is equal parts grapefruit and Mandarin orange. Pours a nice clear golden with a fairly thick and rather persistent ivory head that "pillows" just a bit. Hoppy flavor has a malty and slightly sweet undertone, plus more than a hint of citrus. Is this a "regular" pale ale or an IPA? Smooth, firm texture has quite a bit of fizz and sass, leaving a hoppy and fruity finish. I look forward to trying more brews from Petes/Krebs. Viva Oklahoma!

Solid beer--lots of carbonation; nice kick. Easy to drink despite the elevated ABV. Not as good as the Spring IPA, but at least Choc finally has a year-round beer for us hop heads.
