COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Belgian-style Blonde was originally brewed in the summer of 2009 to celebrate the marriage of our founder’s great-granddaughter. We brewed this ale again to continue the celebration. Combining premium pilsner malts, Belgian-style yeast, and caramelized malts we have crafted an ale perfect for the summer, refreshing yet undeniably complex. Relax, enjoy yourself, have a great summer and help us celebrate with our Seasonal Belgian-style Blonde.

Aroma is sweet with notes of yeast, fruit, malt, wheat and a hint of hops in the end. Flavor is sweet upfront, fruity with yeast and malt, with a somewhat crisp finish. Not bad for a summer beer.

Thanks to 4balance for this one. Poured from bottle to snifter: Pours a hazy honey gold with a quick couple fingers of head that fades out to a consistent collar. Wisps of with head remain scattered across the center of the glass... good lacing. Yeasty, wheat, clove, sour banana, white grapes, pretty unique. The taste is equally unique. Warming grains, subtle biscuit, some dirty yeast presence. Overall, this is an interesting take on the style. Glad to have had the chance to try it.

Nice session beer that is earthy at first with some fruity sweetness in the back half. Simple and tasty. Little head that disappears quick.

12oz bottle 12/8/11 (Jack’s Mountain Home)-46° in Engligh Pint-Pours a medium golden with a small white covering for a head. Aroma of malt, yeast, fruit, and malt. Taste of the same with a bit of caramel thron in. This medium bodied brew is not bad but wish it had more Belgiany taste.

Cloudy amber pour, with some sediment from the bottle. Some sweet, nothing bitter, nothing to write home about.

(12oz bottle, courtesy of Cavie) Pours a murky golden body with a small white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, orange, and ginger. Flavor of yeast, ginger, light citrus, subtle clove, and dough.

Twist-off into La Fin du Monde. Poured a slightly hazy dark gold, and then the last ounce or so was a deep brown sediment that diffused through the beer, swirling about until it integrated into a brownish-orange, cloudy liquid. Head is compact but persistent. Spicy Belgian yeast aroma--lots of fruit. Initial flavor is very hot--actually stays that way. Too much heat/burn for not enough flavor. Carbonation bites hard, but still somehow slippery. Sort of like the flavor is watered down but the mouthfeel and overall message is harsh. Overall, out of balance--I’m not a fan.

9/22/11. 12oz bottle thanks to Cavie. Really hazy yellow-ish pour with a small off-white head that fades to a small ring and barely laces at all. Aroma is Belgian yeast, lots of lemon peel, and a touch of metal. Sweet fruity flavor of oranges, earth, and mint. Weird.

Beer of the month, Pours yellow to bronze with no head, aroma of malt caramel and bubblegum yeastiness, flavor of alcohol, metal notes, sweet fruits, light bodied, reminds me of Gordon’s Finest series

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Murky dark orange color with a small and quickly-disappearing white head. Sugary aroma of yeast and fruits. Flavor starts sweet with fruits and a bit of caramel, and continues slightly drier and yeasty. Rather light-bodied. Very mellow. Kinda OK.

Hazy golden with decent white, lace leaving head. Hops float to the nose along with a musty spice aroma but it’s not clean. Spice, a bit of bitterness then a flat palate upon first sip. Sweeter malt profile, a bit of candy sweetness but it’s not well balanced and seems muddled. It’s ok but not too crisp as one would expect from a summer brew.
