A nice light stout. Little complexity for the palate just a simple, easy to drink dark beer.

Rando7 (488) - Iowa, USA - JAN 14, 2012
Bottle pours dark black/brown with soda type head that takes a couple of minutes to fade to a ring. Aroma dominated by hops. Getting a little bit of chocolate and malts, but flavor dominated by the hops. Finish hoppy but you do get some chocolate lingering. Palate medium viscosity with some carbonation.

A matter of taste of course but to me the balance is out of whack.

Dixonian (1200) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 16, 2011
12oz bottle. Pitch black pour with some creamy tan head. Aromas of grapefruit, pine, roast, coffee, and chocolate - smells a bit like a Black IPA. Creamy palate - nice mix of citrus and roast. Lots of coffee and a bit of chocolatey finish. Nice amount of bitterness - pretty good brew from Choc.

RasterMaster (243) - , Oklahoma, USA - DEC 15, 2011
Dark black pour into thick pillowy tan head that slowly dissipates into heavy melting lacing. Aroma of roasted chocolate malt and hop. Initial flavor of dark roasted breakfast blend coffee, chocolate malt, and bitter hop. Initial flavor of dark roast that is quickly subdued by the hoppy bitterness that fades into a creamy to oily bitter finish.

What a good stout for the winter! Oh you can have it any time but it’s a good brew to push away that wintry chill! Quite a nice blend of hops in this stout and it creates a flavor that is truly unique! As the brew slowly warms those flavors just deliciously intensify! Enjoy some (responsibly) today!
