COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer follows an original recipe of the long-standing head brewer and Chodovar brewery president Jiří Plevka Sr. It is a genuine president of pale lager beers connecting the best taste properties of sweetish South Bohemian lagers with artful bitterness of pils beer types. A specialist committee appraised its quality and the lager was awarded the “Prize of Czech Brewers 2002”.

Bottle (bought at Pivni Galerie, Praha): Deep golden colour, medium-sized white head; some floral hoppiness and some honey in the nose; mild, honeyed malty taste, sweetish-bitter flavour; light, but distinctive bitter-sweet finish; starts great, becomes a littl flat towards the end; all in all a pleasant, clean, decent brew.......

OleR (3658) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 29, 2011
0.5 L bottle bought @Pivoňka, Hradec Králové. A medium to tall, yellow-shaded dense blond top, upon a clear, plain pilsner golden body. Sweet bready and buttery malt aroma. Limited hop aroma. Taste is on the sweet side. Malt drops, sweet bread and notes of buttery caramel. Sparesly hopped. Slick in the mouth. Light to medium full. Sugary malt ending. Not fully balanced, and lacks the crispness.
