Golden, white head. Hoppy and somewhat sourish aroma. Hoppy bitter flavor with some perfume. Malty notes, but most of al lthis is about hops...

in lager I tend to "go Czech", meaning the best lagers are generally Czech brews (with few exceptions) ... this is partly due to Saaz hops (which seem to be best for lager) and the craft of Czech brewers (Czech Rep. has the highest consumption of beer per capita and brewing is a serious matter there)
This brew definitely confirms the above rule ... it has the Czech lager trademark bitterness paired with a honeyed fruitiness usually not around in a classic lager ...
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 EithCubes (4197) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 5, 2006
Bottle. Deep amber-golden pour, creamy white head. Aroma is malty with light hops. Crisp and sweet flavor with stronger hops in the tasted finish. Light grape. Floral dry aftertaste. The perfumey nature of the style, which can easily get out of control, is restrained here; now noticeable iis a very subtle and mild bitterness. Light. Very soft and gentle, elegant, even. Despite the rating, one of my favorites in the style. Thanks to pivnizub!

Clear dark gold color with a thin ring of white lace. Good aroma of saaz hops with abundant malt. Flavor of mild hops, citrus with strong malt.

The Lure: Sweet honeyed malt fruitiness and floral, grassy hoppiness walking away into the horizon. The problem is I missed the emotional part of the story. All is tranquil and slowly fading.
The Festivities: Dry hop bitterness gets up haphazardly after an important honeyed malt presence had taken over the territory. Round mouthfeel bugged by prickly carbonation. This bends more towards the specialni (14-degree) side of Czech svetlés to me than a standard 12-degree.
Transcendence: A thoughtless gift is not as pleasant.

Darker blond color; creamy head. Light malt aroma, some vegetables. Quite simple maltiness, supported by a decent hopping, with light aromas and quite strong and long. Not bad…

chodovar beers certainly improve a lot with alcohol. this had a furry head and some red grapes in the aroma. the hops were dry rather than floral. decent stuff
