Světlý ležák obdařený příjemnou vůní, vyrovnanou chutí chmelu a sladu, s krátkým osvěžujícím nahořklým dozvukem. Je vařený podle staré české tradice, má zlatavou barvu a hustou pěnu. Je určen pro opravdové labužníky a příznivce tradiční české „dvanáctky“, k přátelskému posezení a k různým společenským a kulturním akcím.

During the holidays, available with a special label, as Chotěboř Prémium Sváteční Světlý Ležák.

0,5l bottle bought a day ago at Pivoteka Ceska, Brno. BB 26.03.2016. According to bottle 4.9% ABV. golden clear shiny color, small white head. smells lightly sweet, light fruit notes, plums, notes of sweet herbs. average smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes rather grassy bitter, tobacco, light grains, some herbs. finishes light to medium bitter with notes of grass tobacco. OK, not a big fan, bitterness lingers on the aftertaste too long.

Golden colour, nice head. Aroma is very skunky, probably because of the green bottle, also a bit malty. Very bitter. Medium carbonation, maybe even a bit too high, medium body. Nope.

Strong caramel color and taste, this beer is a bit harsh (in the good sense) on the palate, and gives a long lasting taste in the mouth.

Gyllengul öl med ett medelmĺttigt vitt skum. Doft av hö, malt och lätt gräsighet. I smaken tillkommer viss sötma som gĺr ĺt majshĺllet. Gräsig beska.

Another blah pale lager with nothing to make it stand out or even differentiate it from all the others. Like seriously - 10 of these Czech things in a row in a massive sampling from the Prague Beer Museum and I finish with a snoozer. Sooo boring. Not even awful so I’d have something to write about. Just middle of the road. Like driving through wisconsin after a blandly satisfying meal of potatoes. Unsalted and boiled, of course. In a Chevy Caprice like your grandmother used to drive.
