On tap at Toronado, SF. Deep blonde to orange pour, decent looking with a moderate cloudiness and a struggling-to-exist head. Soft herbal notes very understated in the nose along with some floral and malty overtones. Decent sipper, a bit earthy and hoppy but ultimately not so much character.

Pours a murky golden amber on tap with a nice frothy tan head and decent lacing. Aroma and taste are light of belgian yeast and citrus, light on your tongue. Decent, but not what I wanted from La Chouffe.

750ml bottle 7/00-Pours a light amber with a small head. Aroma of fruits, hops, and caramel. Taste of the same. This light to medium bodied brew is not bad.

Surprise draft at Thai 9 before Wicked. It was a warm day, with spicy food and this was a nice, lighter bodied thirst quencher. Cloudy amber pour with a big soapy white head. Flavors of grass and mild bitter hops. Fine if not different from "normal " Chouffe beers.

Initial aroma on opening bottle was of cabbage but that soon disappeared to leave, erm , no discernable aroma. Excellent fluffy rocky head with loads of lace and good condition. Some fruity yeast notes in the mouth but slightly thin and dry in the finish. Not one of their best beers.

On tap at Sharp Edge Beer Emporium. Pours a cloudy dark orange with a thick white head. Aroma of apricot, light fruits, sweet bready malts. Flavor of bready malt initially with a sweet, light peach and apricot finish. Light, not too sweet, very drinkable, good light Belgian! 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)

this is like a light belgian has some of the characteristics that one would expect from a belgian but in a weaker, sissier form. do not waste your time.

Thanks to Goldtwins for this one. Starts off by pouring a huge off white head over a hazy yellow body. Lightly sweet malt aroma, some hops. Some acidic notes also. Very light palate delivers a thin, refreshing beer with very few outstanding flavors.

Draft at Fountainhead. Pours an attractive gold, lightly hazed with a frothy/creamy head. Nose is citrus, lemon, soft pils sweetness and chouffe yeast. Some caramel noted as well. On tasting, crisp and refreshing, medium bitterness, a touch on the sweet side overall. More lemony hops come through, as well as a clean malt profile. Faint caramel again. Tasty stuff.

Serving: Draft at Roasthouse Pub. It pours an orange color with an off white head. The nose has nice florals with a touch of candy sugar. The flavor has those notes plus some honey and yeast notes. Reminds me of Saison Dupont with some honey. Light to medium body with higher carbonation leading to a short finish. Nice brew.
