Pretty color of red-amber with a huge beige head. Aroma of lots of malt, some figs and raisin notes and some yeast. Sweet malty flavor with some butter, some fruitiness and a long bitter finish with some spicy hops. Medium-bodied. As I drink more of it the hops get more dominant over the not-too-great maltiness and I seem to like it better. bluevegie (2191), Perth, Australia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 14, 2009 Clear amber red body with a rocky head that hung around for a while and left clumps of lacing. In the taste there is caramel and some burnt notes, a little sweet, medium body, hints of raisins and in the aroma I pick up some lemon. ggaughan (94), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Luxembourg

The beer poured a brilliantly clear, off white head, massive and fluffy. The aroma was slightly citrus and a nice malt tone as well. The taste is very pleasing. Nice toasted character and some caramel notes and also a good bitterness on the tongue. Definitely worth picking up if you can find. altonbrownd (1893), Amsterdam, Netherlands

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 2, 2009 Bottle, 6.66%. Weak malty and yeasty aroma. Clear dark amber colour. Big stable tan head. The flavour has some rough bitterness and graininess. There is also some yeast. Good maltiness. Quite citric, a bit like too much aroma hop was used.
