Chocolate brown beer with a lightly frothy head. the aroma is fresh with sherbert and fruit notes. The flavour is fruity with a sherbert (fizzy) sensation on the tongue. A great, great beer.

Cloudy brown.Sweet soft honeyish malt taste. Considering the alcohol, it is well masked

Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is murky medium orange-brown, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, nutty), lightly hoppy (herbs), lightly yeasty (mold, cobwebs), with notes of orange, brown sugar, vanilla, clove, and alcohol. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery (almost syrupy) texture, lively carbonation. Very nice aroma and well balanced, I just don’t dig sourness in this style enough to make it a fave.

Starts out as a clear ruby/chestnut color with a tall ecru head. As you get deeper in the bottle it turns a opaque brown with a scads of small brown particles. Sweet hay, light orange hops and yeast aromas. touch of cocoa, along with mild pale malt, light fruits and just a touch of corriander. Nothing overpowering but very balanced and pleasant.

How can a chouffe be bad? Ofcourse they cant be bad, and this bok also has the typical chouffe taste, which you all know when you’ve ever had a chouffe. So just see this bok as the bock version of chouffe.

Typical Chouffe-brew: if you like one, you'll like them all.
