omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 2, 2006 [Bottled, thanks BierKönig!. Rating #6666] Muddy reddish brown. Lightly lactic with dusty cherries and coffee up front. Medium sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. There’s toffee and red berries, but the dustiness is so severe it feels like licking the inside of a vacuum cleaner. A beer with many positive features and some obvious drawbacks. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 16, 2005 (Bottle 75 cl) Dark reddish with a lovely, rich head. Spiced sweetness with a discreet, hoppy finish. Malty and full-bodied, some overripe fruit in there too. Interesting and quite unusual as Bocks are terribly rare in Belgium. The back label contains a weird story about flying goats over The Niagara Falls - don’t ask me any further... According to the label this is 6,666% ABV 181297 Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 16, 2001 Soft and smooth, with light fruit. Extrememly mellow for its size. argo0 (6176), Washington DC, USA May 4, 2003 Cloudy red-brown bosy with quickly dissipating, medium beige head. Aroma is sweet, raisin/date, caramel, vanilla, light smoke and alcohol. Taste is fruity (orange, date), yeasty, musty, musky, smokey. Medium body, with a white-wine dryness to its finish. Unusual beer, and regrettably my description doesn't convey some of the tastes I note but cannot identify. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jan 20, 2002 Updated: Jul 3, 2003Cloudy dark amber color. Nice malt aroma and body, with some liquorice; really harmonious, smoother flavor than Mc Chouffe, and a nice, light aftertaste of Fernet Branca.
