Light aroma. Non-distinct but some caramel. Some hops. Lacing off-white head over caramel brown clear. Light & watery w/light carb. Bit of horseblanket and some light hops. Not sweet or bitter. Weak and watery.

bottle, pours light amber with a tall off white head. Carmel malt aroma. Malty body ends with an awkward penny in the mouth metalic finish. Mildly bitter.

Donkerbruin met een flinke kraag die redelijk snel verdwijnt. Ruikt friszoet en licht moutig. Weinig body. De smaak is lichtzoet en en verdwijnt te snel.
Geen topper wat mij betreft.

Der Antrunk ist weich und mit gewürzigen und etwas trockenen hellen Malznoten, die sich im Mittelteil stärker zusammenfinden und ein angenehmes und gleichmäßiges Aroma ergeben, das aber problemlos noch stärker sein könnte. Das Bier wird zwar noch ein wenig intensiver, kann damit aber nicht überzeugen. Zudem zieht die Trockenheit die Vollmundigkeit herunter. So ist das Bier auf Dauer eintönig und wird zum Ende langweilig. Es folgt ein malzbetonter muffiger Abgang. 10/8/8/8/11/8

On tap @ De Geuzen, autumn 2007. Orange/amber colour, white head. Nose is malts, yeast and spice. Taste is disappointing, more like an amber beer than a bock. Metallic, toffee, malty sweet. Soft mouthfeel. Expected a lot more from this.

Clear dark brown red beer without head. Smells malty and sweet, and taste is in align with that. What a disappointment usually la Chouffe does quite nice beers, but this exception. Perhaps I am just not Bock compliant?

Aroma heeft iets zuurs en ranzig, ook wat van roggebrood, niet echt een lokkertje. Doch het hapt heerlijk weg, romig, en de smaak is beter dan dat het ruikt. Nasmaak is zoetig en hartigs, smaak is licht kruidig met zoete tonen.

Dark reddish/brown coloured, medium sized head, malty nose. The aroma is malty and slight hoppy with weak fruity and toffee notes. Metallic finish. Quite disappointing beer.

At a tasting, thanks DSG. Big head with big bubbles that stays for quite a while, lots of carbonation, clear light coppery colour, aroma of mushroom, stale bread and honey wax. Light malty flavour with a strange bitter sour sensation. Overall a fairly light bodied beer, i expected something with a bigger body and personality.
