Grassy and herbal aromas with a bit of tartness and yeast. Nicely bittered with a sweet tripel body. Bit of sugar and candy in the body. Very nice beer. Goes down too easily for a 9% beer. drjay44 (771), Salida, Colorado, USA

Pours an incredibly large head of long duration, over a cloudy pale yellow (SRM 5) body.....nose is peach. honey, light floral hop......taste is early sharp phenols, later balancing with sweet malts and later bitter hop finish.....mouth feel is medium, carbonation low. This really did not work for me, and I really like Triples. halfonit (445), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA

Has a thick and hazy golden color. Smells of hops with a little bit of citrus undertones. Tastes pretty much the same. Has a bite in the end that is very enjoyable. An excellent brew. pintbypint (1004), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jul 9, 2009 750ml green bottle. Capped. Lemony yellow colour, massive sized, super frothy white head, probably the most intense, most dense head I’ve encountered, certainly ranks up there with the marvelous foam that Orval has to offer. Needless to say this beer has great lacing, sticky foam. Mild haze. Aroma is fruity, lemony. Fairly hoppy, though some sweet malt/fruitiness shows below the lemon and grapefruit hops. Medium bitterness, citrus/grassy aftertaste. Crisp and tight carbonation, medium body. Does not drink it’s strength. Hard to think of this as solely a tripel, but an awesome hybrid. I pretty much liked everything about this beer, it’s only "weakness" was in its aroma, which was still great to style, will be revisiting this often as long as it’s stocked in this province. goozen (1061), Leiden, Netherlands

Nose is of lemon, yeast and some spice. taste is very lemon with some spices. Mouthfeel is resinous and bitter with lots of carbonation. Strange combination of a Belgian and an IPA. Decent though.
