A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Bottle. Golden clear color with thick white head. Aroma is citrusy, zesty, spicy with some grassy notes. Taste is nice balanced, starts sweet with nice spicu taste of tripel, good hoppy, citrusy, zesty and dry finish

Lots of carbonation make for a very foamy beer, pour carefuly. Clear golden colour until you get to the bottom. Does justice to all it claims to be on the label. Assertively hopped with zesty grassy hops, however in a delicate balance with the spicy yeasty profile that many tripels could envy it. Very refreshing and easy drinking, alcohol completely hidden.

Not as hoppy as the American DIPA. Has that Belgian flavor and feel. Something in the yeast....some more floral notes, etc. Not much alcohol bite. Has a semi-clear lighter orange appearance. Decent feel. I’ve had some better in this style from this region, but this was worth the try.

Small bottle bought in BC Liquor Store. Pours a slightly hazy blonde. Aroma and Taste are malty, perfumes, hoppy (similar to lagers), unpleasant. It seems that beer has been hopped by european hops that usually brewers use for lagers. I would say this beer is Imperial Pilsner, but not definitely an Abbyy Tripel or IPA. Meh.

Cobreada, turva. Extremamente complexa e saborosa.

bomber @ Fresh Thyme / Newport KY --- Solid aroma of malt and assertive floral hops. Hazy dirty light amber color, rocky 2" white head, lace cobwebs. Taste is a combination of caramel malt, light tropical fruit, and solid European hops that have assertive effervescence to keep it light and easy to drink. Light in the stomach, alcohol is well-hidden, an outstanding brew.

750ml bottle, split at home. This is the sort of beer I want to pop open with friends six nights a week -- it’s effervescent and peppery, with a clear Belgian tripel base. There’s a good amount of fruity aroma floating around, which are matched perfectly with the dry hops. Excellent.

33cl bottle (marked 10% ABV) at Eetcafe Van Beeren, Amsterdam on 11-Feb-2016. Hazy pale colour with a medium to thin white head. Aroma of citrus, Belgian yeast, pine and spices. Medium body and carbonation. Lovely sweet hoppy tropical fruit flavour. Great balance of sweet fruit and hops. A really good imperial US style IPA with a Belgian twist.
