Commercial Description:
A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Unclear golden of color with a white head. An aroma of corianders, hops, spice, yeast, grass and dry. A flavor of spice, sweets, hops and dry notes. Very nice!

Thanks to hapjyduece for bringing this bottle to the PP bottle shop. Cloudy yellow amber color. Some nice Saaz hop aroma. I used notice this smell and think the beer was skunked, but now I realize it’s Saaz hops, and I appreciate and enjoy the smell. Very easy to drink. Very nice.

Warning! Open this bottle over sink! Wow, this beer gushed all over the place. Had to let it settle for a while before pouring. No problem getting a head on this beer. Pours a nice yellow color with huge head. You could quite literally eat the head on this beer! Aroma reminds me of a bitter pilsner style, but taste is very sweet, like banana bread. Finish is very crisp.

light golden color with a firm cloudy head. fruity and sweet aromas. sweet maltiness with fruity undertones. the hops with the sweetness give it and almost a chalky and slight cocoa aftertaste. a very nice variation to the typical ipa style. leave to those dam belgians to create this hybrid.

Gusher when opened. Cloudy golden appearance with a huge, billowing, long lasting head and beautiful lacing. Aroma is herbal hops, spices, mild citrus, honey and yeast. Multifaceted taste revels in its complexity, from floral, hoppy bitterness, to sweet, bready malts through to an appealing funkiness. Medium-to-full bodied mouthfeel with a high level of carbonation. Funkiness lingered in the finish. Very interesting and thoroughly enjoyable.

On tap @ Bulldog NE 6 Apr 08 in its own glass type. Aroma: sour, banana, slight hops hit, yeasty, flowery Appearance: Beautiful head retention. Frothed milk look and consistency. Very small head and held for many minutes. Flavor: light hop bouquet, slight ethanol aftertaste. Dry, very light flower taste. Palate: light to medium light body across my tongue.

750ml bottle. cloudy straw yellow color, big white head. little floating thingys in it. citrus (banana and pears), yeast and hop aroma. crisp lemon taste with alcohol throughout. just the right amount of carbonation (a fair bit) in my opinion. long grassy bitter finish takes over pretty quick. K-8

[bottle] Pours a cloudy gold with some floaties. Could smell the hops immediately along with some sweetness from the yeast. Taste is very full with hops, candi sugar, spices, and banana. Aftertaste is some hop bitterness balanced by the sweetness. Fantastic brew.
