Commercial Description:
A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Bottle. Hazy yellow pour with a huge frothy white head looks fab. Aromas of orange peel, passion fruit and floral hops. Taste is spicy and yeasty but with a very refreshing hop finish. Great choice.

Pours yellow with a large white head. Aroma is hoppy (pine and grass) and light malt. Flavour is malty, lots of hop (pine and grass), and a a sweet fruity note.

Bottle: Thanks Anthony. Beautiful cloudy golden pour with a fluffy huge off white head. Beautiful aroma of fresh dry bread crust, orange peel, spicy phenols, and white pepper. Fluffy feel with a dry flavor. Spicy, citric hops balance with a yeasty spiciness and dry bread crust like malt nuances. Complex and balanced. A very nice example.

Aroma is of yeast, sugars and hops. It tastes like a typical triple, with a solid complex yeasty flavor that develops into acidic and salty notes. I’m a bit disappointed though, as I expected the hops to be more present. Maybe an old/bad bottle?

Buddy brought this back from FL, and now that I live there, I see it all over. Weird! It’s like a Belgian Tripel, but with lots of hops!
