COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Poured a pale, slightly cloudy blonde, with a lasting white head. Aroma of floral hops. Medium body, flavour of citrus and floral hops, bitter sweet and quite refreshing.

Bottle at beertasting with Carsten Bertelsen 19 / 6 2013. Clear light yellow, medium white head. Aroma, cascade hops, weak malt notes, yeast. Taste, interesting, you get the trippel taste, but it starts of very hoppy, yeast/malt in the middle, ends bitter. For me it’s not an ipa, but it’s still good.

Pale colour. Foam small, white, with big bubbles. No lacing. Aroma citrus, with some papper. Flavour citrus, papper, very light body. Alcohol is really hidden and if I dint see label, would say around 6%. Palate again papper. Overall expected more but in general it is intesting combination and good beer.

0,75l bottle. A very witbier-like appearance. Loads of citrus, flowers, cereal and lovely hops. Not as hoppy as most IPAs, but I suppose the Belgian yeast covers it up a bit. Alcohol comes through a bit, leaving some room for improvement in the aftertaste. Other than that, quite a flawless beer.

Great ipa which leans more towards a triple. Gf didnt like it because it's not enough ipa. Would recommend. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

If you love the classic Belgian triples, as I do, and you love the superhopped American double IPAs, as I do, then this beer is for you. There is something about the craft of making beer in Belgian that makes beer here so good. Give them your recipe and they'll do a better job of making your beer than you ever could. Truly a marriage made in (beer) heaven. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear golden; with a huge foamy white head. The aroma is hoppy and sweet, like a pilsner almost. Bisquits, citrus and not too much else. Pretty plain.

Poured from bottle, cloudy/hazy orange color. Very bubbly and fizzy on first pour. Aroma is like a Belgium, but the hops don't quite pull off the citrus smell. Weird mix. Taste is sharp, somewhat bitter, but more earthy and bread like than I wanted. Disappointing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Someone left a bottle of this at my house, thanks! Pours a pale yellow with an ample big bubbled head that leaves some heavy lacing. Aroma is earthy and floral and not that enticing. Taste is sweet but balanced by a medium level of bitterness. Flavors of treacle, yellow fruits and green hops. Some alcohol is felt. A nice hoppy Belgian tripel but no Belgian IPA, really.
