A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Bottle at beertasting with Carsten Bertelsen 19 / 6 2013. Clear light yellow, medium white head. Aroma, cascade hops, weak malt notes, yeast. Taste, interesting, you get the trippel taste, but it starts of very hoppy, yeast/malt in the middle, ends bitter. For me it’s not an ipa, but it’s still good.

Drank this in Bruges on a park lawn! Didn’t see it drank from the bottle....tssk.... Deep fruity and hoppy, definatley like an English strong ale but with a yeasty sweetness of the Belgians.

Bottle consumed in Kosovo. It pours the most classic golden colour, a bit hazy with a white and tick foamy head which stays there long. Nose: lemonad, Belgian yeast (distinctively), spices. Mouth: medium-high carbonated (nice), dry overall feel. A very good Abbey Tripel with a hop accent. Very good experiment.

33cl @ bottle. Piacevolmente sorpreso.

12 oz bottle as a gift from a friend. Poured into a snifter, huge foamy white head that sticks around the murky golden color ale as you drink it down. Huge aromas of champagne, white grapes, pears, and lemon, with a Belgian yeast finish. Flavors of champagne, lemon zest, white bread, and slight pine. Semi-Dry on the palate, shallow depth in body with high carbonation. Much closer to a Belgian than an IPA.

September 17, 2014 - on tap at Benelux. Cloudy yellow pour with some head and lacing. Aroma was citrus and spice. Taste was a nice mix of a belgian and ipa.

Color is gold and cloudy. With a very generous initial and persistent head. Carbonation is medium to high, medium body. Aroma is citric, exotic fruits (passion fruit?), malt and herbal. Taste is citric, quite bitter, very hoppy and slightly sweet. Has an aftertaste rather long, slightly bitter, dry and at the same time with sweet exotic fruits.

33 cl, flaske, 9,0 % ABV, købt i Den Belgiske Ølbutik i Vanløse, 17. september 2014. I starten ganske tætskummende. Opsummering: solid bitterhed, svag/let sødme, zero sur.
