A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

750ml green bottle. Capped. Lemony yellow colour, massive sized, super frothy white head, probably the most intense, most dense head I’ve encountered, certainly ranks up there with the marvelous foam that Orval has to offer. Needless to say this beer has great lacing, sticky foam. Mild haze. Aroma is fruity, lemony. Fairly hoppy, though some sweet malt/fruitiness shows below the lemon and grapefruit hops. Medium bitterness, citrus/grassy aftertaste. Crisp and tight carbonation, medium body. Does not drink it’s strength. Hard to think of this as solely a tripel, but an awesome hybrid. I pretty much liked everything about this beer, it’s only "weakness" was in its aroma, which was still great to style, will be revisiting this often as long as it’s stocked in this province.

It is a nice I.P.A, we could say with a Belgian touch and the hop is maybe the saaz and like the duvel tripel hops, it is tasting the grapefruit and there is a side sparkling. I think that this beer is perfect with a Peruvian sudado of fish or a zarzuela of fish from Spain.

Nice crossing between an IPA and a Tripel although the characteristic hops flavour that I love are not present.Malty , fruity with some hops character.

Bottle. Golden, white foam. triple fruit notes with hop aromatics on top. Medium full mellow body. Pears, orangepeel, cloves, grassy and herbal hops. A bit fat, but still drinkable.

Golden, hazy, big white head. Aroma is hoppy, malty, grain, spices, belgian yeast. Both sweet and dry, with a bitter finish. Full bodied, average carbonation, little booze. A fair belgian tripel with extra hops. But maybe too much of everything.

Piana obfita, szybko jednak opadająca do niewielkiej warstwy, całkiem niezły lejsing. W smaku uderza idealny balans - mix świeżych jasnych owoców, dojrzałego chmielu, estrów i pikantych fenoli tworzy bombę smakową, niezwykle bogatą, intensywną i bardzo pijalną.

Aroma of bread, banana, citrus. Cloudy yellow with big pillowy head. Taste is sweet like a tripel, spiced like a wit, finished with refreshing dose of hops. Should be a mess but flavors are assertive and clean. A beautiful marriage of Belgian yeast and an IPA. One of my favorites. Follow the gnome.

Tap @ Winking Lizard: Semi-cloudy appearance with sweet flavors of fresh baked bread and a slight hop finish. Easy to drink.
