3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Cheeky Monk. Pour is hazy golden in appearance with a small white head and decent lacing. Grapefruit, mango, light grass, biscuit, tangerine, an straw in the aroma. Taste is orange peel, light spice, caramel, clove, grass, and straw with a lightly bitter/alcoholic burn on the finish. Sticky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Pretty interesting beer.

Yellow colored with minimal head. Fruity nose with some herbs. Strong bitter kick which turns into sweetness. Long sweet finish. Average carbonation and full body. Alcohol hidden well. Very good. (Vrutak 0,33l bottle)

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy golden color, thin white head. Soft to average carbonation, medium body. Aroma is hops, grass, citrus, herbs. Alcohol is very well hidden. Medium bitter, light sweet taste. It’s good, but I kinda expected more from this interesting IPA/Tripel combination.

Hazy amber pour. Nose of skunked grassy/citrus hops, lemon peel, Belgian candy, and light yeast esters/spice. Flavor is dry pine/citrus hopping with light Begian candy, and yeast. Long, dry, grassy finish. Creamy, full carbonation. Light plastic.

Slight orange citrus aroma. Not overwhelming hop presence. Nice clear yellow color and strong white foam. Very crisp and clean on the palate. Some nice yeast estery fruit flavors. Overall very nice drinkable Belgian IPA

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
(Drinking date: 14 March 2014) Lovely fruity, bit sweet, hoppy aroma. Especially lemon in the aroma. Clear/bit hazy golden colour with a layer of frothy foam. (When I poured out the last bit, the beer was hazy.) Delicious taste. Malty, bitter, and a bit sweet and a bit sour. Fruity bitterness in the taste, and also a bit of bubblegum in the taste. Mouthfeel is perfect. Lively carbonation, full malty body, a bit dry, and it leaves a warm/burning feeling in the mouth from the alcohol. This is a wonderfull beer. It is a delicious combination of an (imperial) IPA and a Belgian triple beer. I am really enjoying it. That?s why I give it the total score of 4.2!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2014 Pale golden color, high carbonation, white fluffy head. Smells a lot of hops, taste is also very hoppy with a bit of sourness. Reminds me something of maybe Orval?s taste. Strange belgian take on the american hoppy beers trend. Long dry finish. This one from a shared 75cl bottle, had it before in a restaurant in Utrecht and I remember it being very good paired with food.

Draft @Bierhuyske. Aroma is a bit sour, bit like cleaning product, don’t like it. Taste light bitterness

Backlog, tried the bottled version a number of times, always in 75cl. Simply a fantastic beer, right up there with xx-bitter as a favourite "old-world" hop beer. Hard to get around here though.
