A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Aromas of apple, lemon, wildflowers, and biscuits. Hazy yellow-orange, with a well-retaining, pillowy, white head. Dry with average bitterness. Medium body, good carbonation, and a floral hoppy finish. A very floral, refreshing tripel.

Een heerlijke tripel, met een aangenaam bitter hop, maar ook een fruitige toon.

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2014 Aromat chlebowo-owocowy. Czuć też kawę. W wyglądzie świetnie. Piękny, złoty kolor. Gruba piana.

Bottle from Julio’s. Poured into a snifter. A light honey colored brew- slightly green. Medium white head that settles to a thick lace. Fruity spice aromas and flavor with decent amount of bitterness. Dry yeast profile. Well balanced. A unique twist on a classic style!

On tap, poured into a snifter. Aromas of banana and clove definitely come through, along with floral notes, pineapple, a light, toasted grain, and a touch of cleanser. It pours a slightly hazy pale - which clears up a bit near the end - and is topped by a white, fuzzy head. A medium thin ring is left behind along with a light, dusty surface. A thick, webby - sheet lace is left along the glass. The taste is a medium bitter and sweet - well balanced - with a touch of a sour note. It’s a slick beer with a medium full body and fuzzy carbonation. It’s smooth, finishing with lemon, pine, grass, and citrus peel. It’s clean, dry, crisp, and fresh with very little aftertaste.

Drank this in Bruges on a park lawn! Didn’t see it drank from the bottle....tssk.... Deep fruity and hoppy, definatley like an English strong ale but with a yeasty sweetness of the Belgians.

Bottle consumed in Kosovo. It pours the most classic golden colour, a bit hazy with a white and tick foamy head which stays there long. Nose: lemonad, Belgian yeast (distinctively), spices. Mouth: medium-high carbonated (nice), dry overall feel. A very good Abbey Tripel with a hop accent. Very good experiment.
