COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Nice aroma and color. Belgium yeast mingled with hops. Taste is well balanced with good hop bitterness and flavor throughout with a malt base. Sort of a Belgian IPA to my palate. Good beer.

Bottle. Hazy light amber pour, very frothy head. Some sediments. Sweet nose, with a hint of grapes. Refreshing taste, sweet notes, with a short malty finish. Pretty good. Medium body, average carbonation.

Pours a hazy light orange. Has a strong yeast, citrus, and wheat aroma. A very dry beer with citrus, wheat, hops, and malts. A dry aftertaste.

Bottle from the LCBO. Ple hazy yellow with a large fluffy white head that fades slowly and leaves lace all the way down. Nose is light toffee with citrus, grass, pepper, banana and a good dose of bready yeast. Light sweet start with some honey and caramel, quickly followed by a medium level of bitterness with pine and some apple and pear tartness. A nicely balanced background of spice and yeasty earthiness is evident throughout. Mouth is medium and creamy with quite active carbonation and a a lingering dry bitter finish. Excellent and well balanced.

Hazy yellow colour, big white head that nicely lasts. Aroma and taste have hoppy grapefruit and tropical fruits, grass, yeasty lightly sour and peppery spiciness and creamy malts. Lively carbonation, soft mouthfeel, good body. Great Belgian IPA.

Bottle. Slightly hazy light golden pour with a frothy egg white head. Nose has green apple, yeast and grains. Taste is estery, sour apples, grains and some light banana. Thought this was below 4.5% when I had it... Very tasty!

33 CL bottle at home, room temperature. Strong aroma of juicy fruit (pineapple?). Pours with a large head that soon disappears. Golden in colour. Very little sweetness, the taste immediately becomes bitter. Quite a thick mouthfeel with a long, very bitter finish. Overall a strong, powerfully hopped ale that remains very drinkable.

It has a delicate aroma of mango. It’s a bit hazy, with nice head and good lacing. It’s dark golden color. In taste it has a grapefruit bitterness, small and delicate but with long aftertaste. In the middle of the taste it has some sweetness. It’s so drinkable and so refreshing. There is now way man can feel in taste the alcohol in it.
