COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Bottle. Pale golden with large white head. Aroma of malt and floral hops. Light body with hop bitterness upfront, some spice notes with a bitter hop finish.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2016 Viel offenporiger Schaum.

Pale yellow with a fluffy white head and lively prickly carbonation. Typical Belgian tripel turned into an ipa. Nicely balanced flavors. Belgian yeast, some sweetness and fruits up front and soapy bitter hops in the aftertaste. Quite nice!

Hazy straw pour with lasting white head. Aroma is faint banana. Taste adds a black pepper bite. Enjoyable.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Appearance: Cloudy, deep gold. Nice foam and lacing. Lot of yeast sediment. Aroma: Mostly seasoning aromas coming from yeast. Also dried apricots and peaches. Didn’t find a sign of American hops. Taste: Less spices, more hop character. Nice, short and pleasure gentian. Grapefruit, and citrus palate. Alcohol very well hidden. Carbonation is fine comparing to plato. Nice Tripel IPA, but for me, both Polish ones, Szczun and Tripadelic were better

Butelka. Barwa złota, delikatnie mętna z wysoką białą pianą. Aromat ziołowy, kwiatowy, delikatnie owocowy, drożdżowy. Smak ziołowo-owocowy, goździki, banany. Goryczka niska do średniej, wysycenie średnie. Ciężko uwierzyć, że piwo ma 9% alc. Świetne połączenie tripla z IPA.

Drunk from 33cl bottle. Hippy mix of an IPA and a triple style beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beginner’s Opinion: Smells of citrus, bit noverall not as aromatic as other IPAs. Has a nice mucky blonde colour and opacity with a strong head that collapses relatively quickly. The beer is a bit too bitter for my taste, and with 9% ABV, a little too strong for me. But it makes up for it with a full body and smooth flavor.
