A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Citrus, bread, cereal, indian pale ale style (three different types of hops are used to make it), fruitiness, unfiltered, a unique marriage between the english tradition and the classic belgian way of brewing and distinct dryness. Brewery Achouffe (Moortgat). Bottle conditioned.

September 17, 2014 - on tap at Benelux. Cloudy yellow pour with some head and lacing. Aroma was citrus and spice. Taste was a nice mix of a belgian and ipa.

Color is gold and cloudy. With a very generous initial and persistent head. Carbonation is medium to high, medium body. Aroma is citric, exotic fruits (passion fruit?), malt and herbal. Taste is citric, quite bitter, very hoppy and slightly sweet. Has an aftertaste rather long, slightly bitter, dry and at the same time with sweet exotic fruits.

33 cl, flaske, 9,0 % ABV, købt i Den Belgiske Ølbutik i Vanløse, 17. september 2014. I starten ganske tætskummende. Opsummering: solid bitterhed, svag/let sødme, zero sur.

Purchased a four p;ack from the Reading Road Walgreens in Evendale, Ohio for $10.99 - This dark amber pours with a lasting white head and a notable fruity grass aroma. Tastewise, this is an excellent blend of a tradition Belgian "Farmer" Tripel and a hoppy IPA. I like it!

Bottle. Hazy light amber pour, very frothy head. Some sediments. Sweet nose, with a hint of grapes. Refreshing taste, sweet notes, with a short malty finish. Pretty good. Medium body, average carbonation.

Pours a hazy light orange. Has a strong yeast, citrus, and wheat aroma. A very dry beer with citrus, wheat, hops, and malts. A dry aftertaste.

Bottle from the LCBO. Ple hazy yellow with a large fluffy white head that fades slowly and leaves lace all the way down. Nose is light toffee with citrus, grass, pepper, banana and a good dose of bready yeast. Light sweet start with some honey and caramel, quickly followed by a medium level of bitterness with pine and some apple and pear tartness. A nicely balanced background of spice and yeasty earthiness is evident throughout. Mouth is medium and creamy with quite active carbonation and a a lingering dry bitter finish. Excellent and well balanced.
