You can really taste hops and hops. High alcohol rate, witch balances very nicely with the bitterness and the body of this beer.

Been about time, hell well past it, that I FINALLY cracked this beer. And I want to kick myself for not. An excellent mix of triple with it’s delicious malt and yeast flavours, lemon and lime citruses, and well and a balanced hoppiness to rep the IPA. Nice.

Quelle amertume en entrée de bouche, puis de la douceur, pas de gout d’alcool. On sent tout le travail du houblon bien présent. Je ne lui donnerais pas le nom de IPA, mais c’est une bière instructive.

Bottle from Congress, Longton. Pours hazy amber with white froth. Easy drinking IPA, very hoppy, nice carbonation. Good stuff.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Reddish brown colour with light brown head. Aroma of hops, some herbs, spices, caramel, fruits, especially bananas, plums etc. The same is flavour, with low carbonation, little maltiness and medium carbonation. Not typical Abbey Tripel, but still very good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a cloudy dark gold with big white head. The tripel-scents dominates the nose with yeasty and malty notes, candy bananas, brioche and some herbs. There's a slight boosy prickle and hints of what I percieve as euro hops. Medium+ bodied palate with good malty base, roasted bread, a slight sweetness and low to moderate bitterness. Definetely a good beer, but they could really have done a lot more to make it stand out against a normal tripel. There's not much here to remind me of a DIPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. I really like this ale. The aroma is a very blended hopsthat has a freshness to it. The appearance is very cloudy yellow. The taste is a mix of standard belgian tripel but with a citrus mix like in american IPAs. The palate is a bit spicy, but overall very refreshing and smooth for 9%. The alochol was hidden very well for a beer that seemed so light. Thanks to my son Dan for giving me this bottle for Christmas.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I have spied this bottle before but ’tripel’ threw me off. Shared a bottle with Ron yesterday - thanks Ron! This was a pleasant awesome surprise. Apricots, pears, bubblegum and subdued cloves in the nose. Clear gold, with a thick rocky head. Tingly dry mouthfeel. Gritty dry finish. Lush feel, minimal yeasty characteristics. As it warms at end a bit more of the lush tripel character emerges. This is really well made and the two styles are perfectly integrated into a new cool beer.

Into the bowl had an orange liquid, very cloudy and yeast sediment. White cream of exceptional training, dense, tall and good duration as mandated the Tripel style. Trained ties marking the wall of glass.
A pleasantly fruity aroma (clove and banana), strong and fresh. Brings with praise citric with mild bitterness, green grapes, ripe orange, some pine touch, mingled with floral notes with beautiful doses of herbs. A foundation is clearly present the trademark of sweet honey malt expected the Tripel. Impresses the aroma.
In citric flavor and fruity notes, damask, are sweeping the mouth overshadowing a bit sweet malt notes which emerges a powerful bitterness that is characteristic of American IPAs and that somehow does not presuppose the Abbey beers Belgians, however is certain duality does not leave us to take another notion of this peculiar Tripel high lupalagem and certain acidity. This intense bitterness is very well inserted and does not stand in the set which again the intrigue by brewmaster of magic that leaves the Tripel style get lost.
The ending is very bitter and rather dry, not taking too long denoting balance. For me this drink can have a single bottle the best of both styles: Tripel and IPA.
Alcohol is almost imperceptible in taste, but do not be fooled because the dragon is there! So the ABV 9% comes as a big surprise for such a refreshing drink.
Can be, despite the alcohol content, be much more balanced in terms of freshness verses depth of flavor compared to their American counterparts. Shows us a stunning fermentation technique and quite intriguing for this reason.
This valuable and powerful beer is easily drink on a hot summer day, but that our home should be very close to our legs due to the high alcohol content.
Body and medium carbonation and maximum complexity. A beer that bow to the excellence!
