Gregis (923), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Sep 18, 2007 33cl bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a lasting, fluffy, white head that laces nicely. Just a touch of sediment in suspension. I imagine it’s easier to get a "cleaner" pour with the 750ml bottle. On the nose is a nice yeasty Belgian funk backed by citrus and noble hops. Lesser notes of peppery spice and light fruits hide out in the background. Medium-bodied and slick with very fine tongue-coating carbonation and a tight bitter finish. It possesses the dryness of a tripel with the bitter tongue-squeeze of an IPA at the end; quite nice. The flavor is a sweet, citric and yeasty tripel up front and subdued but well balance IPA finishing things off with a nice blend of sweet malt and both citric and earthy hops. This isn’t a west coast "in your face" hoppiness, but it is definitely here in full force. This is a hop-head’s kind of tripel. I happen to be a fan of both tripels and IPAs and would never have thought to blend the two styles. In this brew, however, it definitely works. My compliments to the brewmaster.
durhambeer (535), Durham, USA Oct 5, 2008 Sample (finally) at the WBF in Durham. I need to drink more of this tasty beer. Lots of yeast and hops on the nose... almost tangy and very fresh, exciting. Cloudy blond pour with bubbly white head. Grassy notes and some citrus. Very bitter, crisp finish. I’ll be back. wxman (459), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Sep 28, 2008 On draft, tapped a cloudy yellow-orange with a small but respectable white head that remained. Aroma was sweet citrus and flowers. Taste was spicy sweet (nearly cloying) pale malt with a host of fruitiness, especially citrus, though not tart or off-putting. Really good, really smooth, and will really mess you up if you have more than a few. CanIHave4Beers (208), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Sep 24, 2008 What is not to love?
This is a fantastically made beer with a great spicy hoppiness, the blend of hops is surprising but works well. This however does not compromise the signature fruitiness of other delicious Chouffe beers, but does help to balance the sweetness tipping this beer over to the dry side. The beer looks great in a tulip glass with a huge rocky white head, that leaves tons of lace. Aromas are floral and spicy (of course). xpimptastikx (24), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 22, 2008 Had on tap at Delirium in Brussels.

An amazing beer with everything I want and need. The hoppyness of IPA with the crisp sweeter taste of a Belgian triple. I’m truly jealous I will never get this beer again in the states. StFun (339), Indiana, USA Sep 20, 2008 Nice take on a tripel. Everything the style is known for (spice, malt, earthiness) with an extra dose of hops thrown in. Nice dryness and slight bitterness. Pours a yellow straw color with a head that thick and frothy, and sticks around like cool whip. Aroma is subtle spice. Flavor is slightly fruity with notes of spice and hops. Good, but a bit overrated.
