sleepylopes (281), New York, USA Feb 20, 2008 bright and well hoped great variation of a classic. bit of fruit flavor with a nice head. great for any occasion. love to see foreign beers make strong use of hops
unclemike (380), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Oct 13, 2008 What a strong one! Oh my god! Beautiful cloudy color under the rich foamy head, the nose is flowery hop and yeast. In the taste you can feel the three kind of differnt hops of the world, the coriander, the selected yeast and the sweetness because high percentage alcohol. The houblon-hop dominates the complex beer. The aftertaste are rich and smooth. durhambeer (537), Durham, USA Oct 5, 2008 Sample (finally) at the WBF in Durham. I need to drink more of this tasty beer. Lots of yeast and hops on the nose... almost tangy and very fresh, exciting. Cloudy blond pour with bubbly white head. Grassy notes and some citrus. Very bitter, crisp finish. I’ll be back. wxman (459), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Sep 28, 2008 On draft, tapped a cloudy yellow-orange with a small but respectable white head that remained. Aroma was sweet citrus and flowers. Taste was spicy sweet (nearly cloying) pale malt with a host of fruitiness, especially citrus, though not tart or off-putting. Really good, really smooth, and will really mess you up if you have more than a few. CanIHave4Beers (216), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Sep 24, 2008 What is not to love?
This is a fantastically made beer with a great spicy hoppiness, the blend of hops is surprising but works well. This however does not compromise the signature fruitiness of other delicious Chouffe beers, but does help to balance the sweetness tipping this beer over to the dry side. The beer looks great in a tulip glass with a huge rocky white head, that leaves tons of lace. Aromas are floral and spicy (of course). xpimptastikx (27), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 22, 2008 Updated: Oct 13, 2008Had on tap at Delirium in Brussels.
An amazing beer with everything I want and need. The hoppyness of IPA with the crisp sweeter taste of a Belgian triple.
