COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Pours a hazy golden color with a large white head. Very hoppy aroma, pine with some grapefruit. Mostly dry, very bitter, tripel body comes through in the finish. Very interesting take an two divergent styles.

Bottle. Hazy, yellow body, small head. Aroma: More tripel than ipa. Medium intense, fruits (from yeasts), spicy. Some noble hops. Taste: Low sweetness with strong bitter finish. Flavor is sweet, citrusy with a bit herbat, bitter finish and quite lot of alcohol. Quite watery for that strenght, very high carbonation. Not much hops in aroma, but still interesting beer.

Clear golden color, thick white head. Fruity nose, Belgian yeast, fruity esters, sugar, hint of citrus and pepper. Fruity ester taste, yeast, hint of alcohol, dry finish. Full to medium body, warming alcohol, medium carbonation. I expected more hops.

Bottle. Hazy golden with white head. Aroma of grass, peach, lemon and grain. The yeast is also present. Sweet fruity, malty flavour at first with a good, yet not very long lasting bitterness in the end. Pleasant and very quaffable.

A really nice Belgian tripel loaded with hops. I’ve had a couple others of this variety, but I think this may be the best. Boozy and sweet like a tripel, but with a dry bitter hop finish. My favorite from the Chouffe guys. Must try!

750ml bottle from Summerhill LVBO. Toronto, ON. 9% Alc./Vol. Pours a clear golden colour with two finger of lasting white head. Beautiful thick, ring-like lacing clinging to the side of the glass. Aroma is spicy and hoppy with notes of elderberries. Taste is complex. Traditional Belgian malt in the beginning leads to some citrus notes then ends with a spicy and crisp finish. Lively carbonation and spicy mouthfeel.

Cloudy golden colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Aroma of citrus (grapefruit and orange peel) with some notes of tropical fruit. Medium malty body, light sweet with bitter hoppy aftertaste. Very good tripel.
